Dendra Agent

The Dendra Agent can be used to answer about your organization, stations, datastreams, and about how Dendra works. This feature is currently in beta. Our plan is to continuouisly improve the agent’s ability to answer questions, edit metadata (including safe batch editing), and automate setup of new stations and datastreams.

The Dendra Agent can be accessed from a button in the Manage toolbar.

Note

If the button is missing, sign out and back in, or check with an organization admin. Your account needs permission to use the agent.

Ask About Your Organization

The agent can look up the same metadata you can view in Manage. Try asking which stations are in the organization, or which datastreams belong to a station.

The currently selected organization is added to messages. That name shows up as a chip above the message box. Close the chip to omit the organization from the next question.

Chats are currently not saved, so refreshing the page clears the conversation. Use New chat in the panel toolbar when you want a clean start.

The agent can search this site. Ask how to set up a station or post data with a webhook, and it will pull from the published guides.

Editing

In order to allow the agent to edit metadata, an organization admin must turn on the mcp_writes feature flag for the organization.

1. Open System > Admin > Organizations and select the organization.
2. In Admin zone, edit Feature flags.
3. Add mcp_writes and save.

With mcp_writes on, the agent can create and update resources in the organization. Before anything is saved, the chat panel shows the proposed change and you choose Approve or Reject. Your role in Manage applies to those edits.

Feedback

Send feedback on mistakes and on answers that helped. The envelope button in the chat panel (Report unexpected behavior) can be used to send us an email with the chat.

MCP Server

We run an internal MCP server for agent tool calls. This server is not public yet. If you’re interested in using it in your own agent harness (e.g. Cursor, Claude, etc.), email us at metahuman@dendra.science.
